How long have you wanted to learn a new language or brush up on one you learned years ago? The library can help with that! We are offering the online language learning tool, "Transparent Language.” Over 80 languages are available and you can access them on your own computer. There is even a mobile app to continue lessons via your phone! Great for students and adults, this program offers top-of-the-line coursework combined with great additional resources such as a web-based flash card system, personal progress tracking, pronunciation analysis, language & cultural resources, and much more. Your Hampstead Public Library card is your passport to a world of languages!

You will first need to sign on with your 14-digit library card number, and then establish a user name and password of your own. Contact the library if you have any questions.

Byki® Mobile allows you to take Transparent Language Online learning "on the go" with your Apple® iPad™, iPhone™, iPod™ touch, or Android powered device.  

There is no charge. All you need is Byki for iPhone Community Edition, which is FREE on the App Store and the Android Market. When you log in to the site and create your personalized username, you can choose to "Go Mobile" and download the app. You will receive another individual access code to verify your Library edition of this app. Save this code as it is your log in credentials with the mobile app.
